Oedipus

In the play Oedipus the tycoon by Sophocles, Oedipus is a consummate tragic hero. There are a number of characteristics that orbit a tragic hero. The tragedy focuses on the life and downfall of the unfortunate King Oedipus, who was condemned by the oracle at an early age to maul his render and marry his mother. Despite the oracles dis graceful prediction, Oedipus was liable for his own downfall due to his overly gallant attitude, and his own intellect and diligence. In the polis of Thebes, Oedipus was the not only the queen still he was also the hero of the club.
